Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to show you how you can track your shift release requests as Initiators to check the status or remove the release request if they no longer want the release to occur.

Overview

Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers, Employees

The initiator of the shift release can see his or her requests on the Dashboard under “My Shift Trades.” It is still the initiators' responsibility to work for the scheduled shift if it has been rejected by the management or they haven’t reviewed or approved it.

The scenario outlined in this tutorial consists of the following building blocks:

  1. Track Your Shift Release Requests as Initiators
  2. Remove Your Shift Release Requests as Initiators

Track Your Shift Release Requests as Initiators

Step 1: Click the ‘Dashboard’ tab from the left panel as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Click on ‘My Shift Trades’ on the Dashboard Notification Panel as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Under ‘My Requests’ tab you will be able to view the status as shown in Image 3.

Note: Status could be in one of the following ways:
Expired Status - no one reviewed the request and it has been expired.
Awaiting Manager Approval - the decision is still pending by the management side.
Accepted - it has been approved by the management.

Remove Your Shift Release Requests as Initiators

Step 1: Click the ‘Dashboard’ tab from the left panel as shown in Image 4.

Step 2: Click on ‘My Shift Trades’ on the Dashboard Notification Panel as shown in Image 5.

Step 3: Under ‘My Requests’ tab you will be able to view the status as shown in Image 6.

Step 4: Click ‘Would like to release this shift’ as shown in Image 7.

Step 5: Click ‘Remove Request’ under details as shown in Image 8.

Step 6: Confirm removal of the request by clicking the ‘Remove Request’ as shown in Image 9.
