Troubleshooting for 'Open Shifts'

Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to show you how you can resolve the possible issues you could face with the open shifts approval process.

Overview

If you are having trouble with open shifts approval process, follow the steps in this article to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. You must have a manager or admin access privileges to perform some troubleshooting steps in this article.
  2. If you have a Supervisor or Scheduler level access, you’ll have to ask for help from your Manager when you get to those steps.

“Not receiving any notifications to approve open shift requests”

Possible Cause:Related settings are disabled by Manager under Settings Module > ShiftPlanning tab > Advanced:
Employee requests to pick-up open shifts are automatically approved

Solution: Ask your Manager to enable the setting shown in Image 1 to let you approve the open shift requests and not let staff pick up open shifts on first come first serve basis.
