[NEW] Submission of 'Worked' Work Units

Work Units are permission based. Learn how to submit them, here.

Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to submit work unit values via the dashboard widget or directly from the Shift details.

Overview

Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers, Employees with Scheduling permissions, Employees

Things to know before you begin:

  1. Work Units can be submitted from the Dashboard and/or from the Shiftplanning.

  2. When the “Enable employees to add Work Units” setting is ON, employees have the option to add/edit a worked number of Work Units.

  3. When the “Enable employees to add Work Units” setting is OFF, employees are able to check requested Work Unit quantities.

The scenario outlined in this tutorial consists of the following building blocks:

  1. Submit ‘Worked’ Work Units via Shift

  2. Submit ‘Worked’ Work Units via Widget

Submit ‘Worked’ Work Units via Shift

Step 1: Click ‘ShiftPlanning’ tab from the top panel as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Click on an existing desired shift where you want to submit work units as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Click 'Check' under the Work Units section as shown in Image 3.

Step 4: Enter in the required amount of the Worked 'work units' and hit 'Save' as shown in Image 4.

Submit ‘Worked’ Work Units via Widget

Step 1: Click ‘Dashboard’ tab from the top panel as shown in Image 5.

Step 2: Click ‘Submit Work Units’ from the left side panel as shown in Image 6.

Step 3: Type the work units value in the box as shown in Image 7.

KEY describing work units status:

  1. Green: Approved work units

  2. Yellow: Request has been sent

  3. n/a: Not available

Step 4: Click ‘Save’ as shown in Image 8.
