Objective
The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to assign work units to an employee, directly on the shift.
Overview
Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers, and Employees with Scheduling permissions.
Create a shift or click on an existing desired shift where you want to assign or edit work units.
Things to know before you begin:
You must have Admin/Manager/Supervisor/Scheduler or Employee with Scheduling permission role to assign Work Units to an individual shift.
To Add, Manage and Assign work units you would need to enable the Work Units feature under ShiftPlanning Settings
Work Units can't be assigned on Open/Empty shift.
Work Units assignment section in Shift Edit Window enables scheduling roles to:
assign multiple work units to single employee
enter/edit required & worked Work Units quantity

Add or Edit ‘Required’ Work Units Values via Shift
Step 1: Click the ‘Shiftplanning’ tab from the top panel as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Create a shift for an employee or click on an existing desired shift of an employee to which you want to assign work units as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: From the shift edit window, you will see three dots at the top right of the window, click on it and then click on 'Assigned Work Units' as shown in Image 3.

Step 4: Click on the name of the employee as shown in Image 4.

Step 5: Enter the ‘Required’ or 'Worked' Work Unit values or edit the value under 'Required' and hit 'Save' as shown in Image 5.

Note: Changes & updates for Work Units are saved to the shift with the previous step so users don’t need to additionally confirm it by updating a shift.
