Overview

Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Admins, Managers, Supervisors, and Schedulers

A Metric is a singular type of data that helps a business measure certain aspects of its operations to achieve success, grow and optimize its customer journey.

A (defined) Metric is a necessary input for running both Humanity Forecast and Manager Forecast, which is used for creating a prediction of future business metrics aka demand data.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. This feature is a part of the AI Scheduling paid add-on for Humanity Scheduling.

  2. AI Scheduling is not available on the legacy ShiftPlanning module.

  3. To access this feature, it needs to be previously enabled in the Team Tools Setting by Humanity's Support.

  4. You must have Admin, Manager Supervisor, or Scheduler access privileges to access any AI Scheduling feature.

Scenarios described in the article:

Create New Metric

Step 1: Click the "New ShiftPlanning" tab located in the top panel, as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Click on the "AI Scheduling" button located in the Toolbar > Select the "Metrics" option from the dropdown menu, as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Click on the green "Create New Metric +" button, as shown in Image 3.

Note: Click on the "Learn More" button that has a lamp icon on it to read more about what Metics are, as shown in Image 4.

Step 4: Type a name for your Metric in the input field located at the top of the pop-up screen > Choose the time increment that the metric is going to be based on > Select the source of your future metric values > After that finish the Metric's creation by clicking on a green "Create Metric" button, as shown in Image 5.

Note:

  • Manager Forecast works with imported third-party forecast data to build a demand model.

  • Humanity Forecast generates forecast data based on imported historical data of your business to build a demand model.

Edit Existing Metric

Step 1: Click on the edit icon located under the Actions section on the right side of the screen, as shown in Image 8.

Step 2: Change the name/time increment/source of future values for the metric > Click on the green "Save Changes" button, as shown in Image 7.

Delete Existing Metric

Step 1: Click on the delete icon located under the Actions section on the right side of the screen, as shown in Image 8.

Step 2: Click on the red "Delete Metric" button located in the new pop-up screen, as shown in Image 9.
