The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to access the Employee view on the iOS mobile application and create shifts for your employees.
Have an overview of all weekly schedules in the new Employee view easily with a desktop look & feel. Use the quick 'Create a Shift' feature to schedule directly from the schedule grid, just like you are used to with Humanity's desktop web experience.
Access from your: iOS Device
Applies to: Managers, Admins, Supervisors & Schedulers
Things to know before you begin:
You must have a Manager/Admin, Supervisor, Scheduler, or Employee with scheduling permission access privileges in Humanity to create shifts.
Schedulers can manage shifts and shift templates for their assigned positions only.
You can navigate between the grid view and the list view by using the list/grid icon in the top right corner of the All tab on the ShiftPlanning module.
Step 1: On the mobile app, navigate to the ShiftPlanning module > All tab, and tap on the top right grid view icon to switch to the Employee view as shown in Image 1.
Step 2: Overview the schedule. Shift items in the grid have the info about shift start/end time & info about the number of slots available on open shifts as shown in Image 2.
Note 1: Empty shifts are presented on the top of the screen, followed by the weekly schedules of the employees presented in alphabetical order.
Note 2: Depending on the scheduling permissions, you can filter schedules per:
Locations & Positions (Admins, Supervisors, Managers, Schedulers)
Remote locations (Admins, Supervisors, Managers, Schedulers)
Skills (Admins, Supervisors, Managers, Schedulers)
Employees (Admins, Supervisors, Managers, Schedulers)
Shifts on positions I manage (Schedulers)
Note 3: Tapping on the shift will open up the summary of that shift in the bottom of the screen as shown in Image 3.
Step 3: Tap the (+) icon on the grid to create a shift for that specific employee and that specific day of the week, or use the (+) icon to create a new shift without looking for specific placement in the gird as shown in Image 4.
Step 4: Enter the shift start & end time, position, etc. or pick an existing Shift template and click on the green 'Create' button in the bottom of the screen as shown in Image 5.
Note: Alternatively tap on the "Create Shift & Continue Editing" button at the bottom of the screen, as shown in image 5, to add more shift details such as open slots, employees, titles, etc.
Step 5: In order to publish the new shift; Tap on the shift > Tap on the shift summary > Tap on "Publish" as shown in Image 6.
