Humanity widgets for iOS

Learn how to set up widgets on your iOS device so you can have the most important shift information on your Home Screen or Today View.

Objective

With the latest update of the Humanity mobile app, you can add widgets to your Home screen or Today View on your iOS device (iOS 14 and later).

Overview

  • The widgets are available only with iOS 14 or later

  • The widgets come in three different sizes โ€“ small, medium, and large โ€“ and two different modes โ€“ Light and Dark

  • All widget sizes show details for shifts scheduled in the next 7 days

The scenario outlined in this tutorial consists of the following building blocks:

  1. How to Add a Widget

How to Add a Widget

Step 1: From the Home Screen or Today View, touch and hold a widget or an empty area until the apps jiggle.

Step 2: Tap the Add button in the upper-left corner.

Step 3: Select a widget, choose from three available sizes, then tap Add Widget.

Step 4: Tap Done.

Large Widget Display

  • The large widget shows up to 3 shifts scheduled in the next 7 days.

  • The first shift has the greatest level of details: shift date and time, shift title, Position, Location, and breaks (if these details have been set).

  • The two following shifts have shift date and time, Position, and Location (if these details have been set).

Large Widget Display

Medium Widget Display

  • The medium widget shows up to 2 shifts scheduled in the next 7 days.

  • The shift details include shift date and time, Position, and Location (if these details have been set).

Medium Widget Display

Small Widget Display

  • The small widget shows up to 2 shifts scheduled in the next 7 days.

  • The shift details include shift date and time, as well as Position.
