Objective
To provide step-by-step instructions for submitting unavailable time slots in Humanity mobile apps for iOS and Android.
Having your availability up to date will help schedulers in your company to only assign shifts to you that you are available to take.

Things to know before you begin:
To use the Availability module on a mobile device, the app must be updated to a 2.0.5 version or higher.
Employees are, by default, set to be available all the time which is why they need to submit unavailability requests when they are unavailable at/in a particular time/day.
Users can create unavailability slots on an all-day or hourly basis.
Hourly slots are set in 15-min increments. The maximum duration of an unavailable slot is 24 hours.
Users can set up repeating slots.
Slots cannot overlap with other slots.
Your management has the option to restrict the staff from adding, editing, and deleting their unavailability. This means that you can only view your availability, not submit new slots or edit and delete existing ones. In this case, contact your manager to communicate your availability changes.
Submitting an unavailable slot that does not repeat
Step 1: Launch the Humanity app, go to More, and tap the Availability icon.

Step 2: By default, you will land on the current month. From here, you can add an unavailable time slot in two ways:
a. To set multiple unavailable time slots one by one, navigate to the date for which you wish to set an unavailable time slot, then tap on the Plus sign (+).
b. To add an unavailable time slot for a distant date in the future, tap on the yellow Plus sign (+) button.

Step 3: When you land on a chosen date, you can either:
a. turn on the All day toggle to submit an all-day unavailable slot (From and To fields will be automatically hidden) or
b. set the start and end time by using From and To fields.

Step 4: Tap on Save and the slot will be created. You will then be redirected back to the monthly screen, where you had left off.

Step 5 (optional): If you want to provide additional information about your unavailability, you can add a Note for your employer.

Submit a repeating unavailable slot
Step 1: When you land on a chosen date, you can either:
a. turn on the All day toggle to submit an all-day unavailable slot or
b. set the start and end time by using From and To fields (e.g. we set 4:00 PM and 11:00 PM).

Step 2: To create a repeating slot and see additional options, turn on the Repeating slot toggle.

Step 3: Set the days of the week for your repeating unavailable time slot (e.g. we chose Thursday). You can also select multiple days of the week for the repeating slot.

Step 4: Set the end date for your repeating series by using the Repeat until section. Tap on it and select an end date from the calendar, then tap OK.

Step 5 (optional): If you want to provide additional information about your unavailability, you can add a Note for your employer.

Step 6: As the final step, tap on Save and your unavailable time series will be created.
