The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to create an empty shift from your Android device.

Applies to: Admin/Managers, Supervisors, and Schedulers
An empty shift is a shift that is not assigned to any employee. You can assign an employee once you choose who to assign the shift to. Shift needs to be published in order to notify your employee(s).
Things to know before you begin:
You may assign an employee later when you choose the best fit for it.
Once you have assigned the employee, you would have to re-publish the shift.
You can navigate the schedule for different dates by clicking the arrows found at top mid of the app.
You can use the filters to set the filters and narrow down the view of the shifts.
Create an Empty Shift
Step 1: Tap the ShiftPlanning tab > Tap the Plus (+) icon > Define the shift parameters > Select the Position > Tap Save & Continue tab, as shown in Image 1.
Step 2: Define the advanced parameters without assigning an employee > Tap Publish tab to choose the option as per your requirement, as shown in Image 2.
