Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to pick-up an open shift from your iOS device.

Overview

Access from your: iOS device
Applies to: Employees

After your management publishes an open shift, employee(s) who are eligible to pick up and work that open shift will be notified via email, SMS or push notification according to the settings defined by the management.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. Open shifts are created by your manager. If created then only you will receive notification to fill it up.

  2. Open Shifts are created for a single position, you cannot request for an open shift from another position.

  3. Once you request for an open shift, it’s your management decision to approve or reject it.

  4. You will receive notifications via email, SMS, or Push as well as under the Dashboard Notification Panel after your management publishes an open shift.

Pick-up an Open Shift

Step 2: Tap on 'Request Open Shift' tab as shown in the Image 2.

That's it, your request to work on the open shift has been submitted. Now, it’s your management decision to approve or reject your request if they have disabled auto approve settings.

Once the staff request is approved, they will receive a notification and will be assigned on that shift by filling the slot hence it is your responsibility to work for that shift.

You can cancel your request following:

Tap 'Cancel Open Shift Request' tab > Tap 'Yes' tab to confirm it as shown in Image 3.
