Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how you can use the 'Settings' module to control what your staff can take action on in Humanity application.

Overview

Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Manager/Admin

'Settings' is where you will find all of the administrative features and settings that affects all the modules in Humanity application.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. You must have a manager/admin access privileges in Humanity to control what your staff can take action on in Humanity application.
  2. You must Save & Refresh for change to take effect once you modify the settings.
  3. If you have a Supervisor, Scheduler or an Employee level access, you’ll have to ask for help from your Manager to perform actions under the 'Settings' module.

Account Settings

With Account Settings, you can control what your staff can take action on in Humanity application or view within Staff, Training or Dashboard module and features related to notifications and login options.

ShiftPlanning Settings

With 'ShiftPlanning' settings, you can control what your staff can take action on or view within 'ShiftPlanning' module and features related to shift pick up, trades, approvals and work units.

Work Units Settings

If you want your employees to add work units when they have a sub-tasks on a shift that are paid in addition to an hourly wage rate, learn how to give them access to do that.

Also, learn how to have access to the work units module or manage options related to work units to auto-approve work units and allow employees to view work units report.

Time Clock Settings

With Time Clock Settings, you can control what your staff can take action on or view within 'Time Clock' module. Starting from the preference of GPS, Webcam to auto clock out and nuances in clocking in/out, managing rounding & restrictions along with time sheets you will find it all here. 

Leave & Availability Settings

With 'Leave' Options, you can control what your staff can take action on or view within 'Leave' module.
You can customize the settings for the leaves in Humanity that gives you a lot of room to implement your company’s policies while using the 'Leave' or 'Availability' module.

Branding Options

Personalize your Humanity account visually to coincide with your company branding.

There are three ways you can customize your account branding:

  1. Add your logo to the navigation to replace the Humanity logo. 
  2. Add a background image to your company login page. 
  3. Change the colour of your navigation, navigation text and headings.

Conflicts Setting

Conflicts setting page enables users to control the type of conflicts that are being calculated and displayed across the application on Schedule, Shift Edit Window (SEW) or Trade/Release.

Auto Schedule Custom Prioritization Settings

Custom Prioritization allows your organization to prioritize employee assignments on the Humanity platform. For example, you can assign shifts to full-time employees first, and then fill empty shifts or open slots with part-time employees second.

Event Log - Track All Activities in Humanity

Every time an action occurs within the Humanity application, the app tracks it as a unique event and compiles this information under the ‘Event Log’ section.

This feature can be used to verify events for record keeping or troubleshooting past events by seeing who did what and when. Managers can use this as a centralized log service to report and track actions or events that have taken places.

Shared Files - Upload, Assign and Delete a Shared File

Humanity allows the management to upload files which can be shared with the staff in your business. The example of files that you can upload could be Human Resources, Training, Events, etc.

You may upload files of the following types, with size limit of up to 10mb:
