The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how you can troubleshoot to resolve if geo-fencing is not working on your account.

If geo-fencing is not working, follow the steps in this article to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. You must have a manager/admin and supervisor access privileges to perform troubleshooting steps in this article.
  2. If you have a scheduler level access, you will only be able to assign remote sites to the shifts for the position manager has given access for.
  3. If you have an Employee level access, you’ll have to ask for help from your Manager when you get to those steps.

Possible Cause: Position(s) are added under primary location. 

Solution: Remove the position(s) from primary location and create them under additional locations.

To create positions under locations. Follow instructions in the article: 'Create a Position.'

Possible Cause: Remote sites are assigned on the shifts.

Solution: Either remove remote sites or create shift(s) under additional locations.

Possible Cause: Format of the address added is not correct.

Solution: Address should be added on the google, copied and pasted from there under Locations, however, country name should be removed from the end.
