The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to ping your employees.


Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers and Employees.

'Pinging' an employee allows you to instantly send them a message via e-mail & SMS to alert them of something or to get in contact quickly.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. All permission levels can use the ping feature.
  2. You cannot ping a staff member who does not have a confirmed e-mail.
  3. Characters of the message can have a maximum limit of 140 characters.
  4. Ping message will only appear in your email however you will receive ping notification as SMS as well.

Ping - Internal Communication

Step 1: Click ‘Staff’ module from the top-panel as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Click on the name of your staff member to go to their profile as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Click the ‘Ping’ tab to send a message to your co-worker as shown in Image 3.

Step 4: Type a message in the box or use pre-defined messages as shown in Image 4.

Step 5: Click ‘Send’ tab as shown in Image 5.
