Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to manage and customize notifications from your mobile application.

Overview

Access from your: iOS device
Applies to:
Admin/Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers and Employees

Enable or disable the general settings to receive notifications of different features.

You can manage three types of notifications: Email, SMS and Push. Each setting under these sections can be customized for an action that will take place to generate a relevant notification.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. To receive push notifications, humanity push settings should be enabled.

  2. "Background App Refresh" and "Allow notifications" option must be enabled from your iOS device.

The scenario outlined in this tutorial consists of the following building blocks:

  3. Enable Background App Refresh On Your iOS Device

Manage & Customize Notifications

Step 1: Tap 'More' tab > Click the 'Settings' module shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Tap 'Notifications' tab > Use the toggle button to enable or disable the general settings to receive the notifications accordingly as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Tap on the listed notifications under any section to define notification for a specific option as shown in Image 3.

Allow Notifications On Your iOS Device

Step 1: Tap 'Settings' > Tap 'Notifications' tab > Scroll down and Tap 'Humanity' application > Enable the toggle button next to 'Allow Notifications' option and choose the style to receive the alerts according to your requirements as shown in Image 4.

Enable Background App Refresh On Your iOS Device

Step 1: Tap 'Settings' > Tap 'General' > Tap 'Background App Refresh' tab > Enable 'Background App Refresh' > Enable the toggle button next to 'Humanity' option as shown in Image 5.
