Edit the ‘Position’ of a Shift
It is required to assign a position to create a shift, however, you can edit the position of an existing shift if you wish to modify it.

The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to edit the assigned position of an existing shift.

Overview

Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers

It is required to assign a position to create a shift, however, you can edit the position of an existing shift if you wish to modify it later.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. You must have a manager/admin, supervisor and scheduler access privileges to edit the position of an existing shift.

  2. You can navigate the schedule to different dates by clicking the arrows found at top mid of the app.

  3. You can edit the position of a shift under different schedule views i.e. basic and timeline view.

Edit the ‘Position’ of a Shift

Step 1: Click ‘ShiftPlanning’ tab from the top panel as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Click ‘Schedule Overview’ from the left-hand side filter panel as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Create a shift or click on an existing desired shift to open the shift edit window as shown in Image 3

Step 4: Click on the assigned position to edit and select the desired position as shown in Image 4.

Step 5: Click ‘Back to Shift’ as shown in Image 5.

Step 6: Click ’Save & Close’ as shown in Image 6.

Note: After editing the position, shift needs to be republished to notify your staff about the changes made to the shift.
