Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to show you how you can ask your Manager or resolve the possible issues you could face with ‘Clock In/Out.’.

If you are having trouble with clocking in and out, follow the steps in this article to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. You must have a manager or admin access privileges to perform some troubleshooting steps in this article.
  2. If you have a Supervisor, Scheduler or an Employee level access, you’ll have to ask for help from your Manager when you get to those steps.

“Not able to view the ‘Time Clock’ module”

Possible Cause: Related settings are disabled by Manager under Settings Module > Time Clock tab > Time Clock Settings section >  Time Clock Module Enabled.

Solution: Ask your ‘Manager’ to enable the time clock module as shown in Image 1 and let your staff members use the function under the ‘Time Clock’ Module.

“Not able to view the ‘Clock In’ tab”

Possible Cause: Related settings are enabled by Manager under Settings Module > Time Clock tab > Time Clock Settings section > Restrict Employees From Clocking In/Out.

Solution: Ask your ‘Manager’ to disable the setting as shown in Image 2 to let your staff members view and use the clock in tab.

“Not able to view the ‘I’m on my way’ tab”

Possible Cause: Related settings are disabled by Manager under Settings Module > Time Clock tab > Advanced Settings > Time Clock Settings section > Enable pre-clock in option.

Solution: Ask your ‘Manager’ to enable the setting as shown in Image 3 to let your staff members view and use ‘I’m on my way’ tab.

“Not able to clock in/out from this location” error

Possible Cause: Your manager has setup time clock location using the device and IP address under Time Clock > Time Clock Locations

Related settings are enabled after setting up the time clock location by Manager under Settings Module > Time Clock tab > Advanced Settings > Time Clock Settings section > Lock time-clocking to specified locations.

Solution: Ask your ‘Manager’ to delete the time clock locations and disable the setting as shown in Image 4 to let your staff members view and use ‘I’m on my way’ tab.
