Enable and Use Auto-fill Service to Log in Humanity

With autofill password feature, credentials will auto populate in the 'Username & Password' fields each time a user tries to login Humanity

Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to enable auto-fill service on your android device and use auto-fill password to Log in Humanity.

Overview

Access from your: Android device
Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers and Employees

With the help of auto-fill password feature,  each time a user attempts to login to the Humanity platform, credentials will be automatically populated in the 'Username' and 'Password' areas, enabling easier access to the Humanity mobile app.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. Humanity application must be installed on your device.

  2. You must have an active google account on your device.

  3. As implementation of the functionality depends on the device manufacturer and OS, below screenshots might vary slightly.

  4. Auto-fill Password is available on Android 8.0 Oreo and above.

  5. Screen lock has to be enabled for the feature to work (PIN, Pattern, Fingerprint or Face Unlock)

The scenario outlined in this tutorial consists of the following building blocks:

  1. Enabling Auto-fill Service
    Enabling 'Offer to Save Passwords'

  2. Use Auto-fill Password with Humanity

Enabling Autofill Service

Step 1: Tap 'Settings' application from your phone > Tap 'General Management' tab > Tap 'Language and input' tab > Tap 'Autofill service' tab > Select either 'Google' account or any provider according to your business requirement > Click 'OK' tab to make sure you trust this app as shown in Image 1.

Enable 'Offer to Save Passwords'

Step 2: Go to your 'Google Account' > Tap 'Manage your Google Account' tab as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Tap 'Security' tab > Scroll down and tap 'Password Manager' tab > Tap 'Password Options' tab > Enable 'Offer to save passwords' option as shown in Image 3.

Use Autofill Password with Humanity

Step 1: Tap 'Humanity' app from the home screen of your device > Enter 'Email or username' and 'Password' to save the credentials for the first time > Tap 'Save' tab as shown in Image 4, Image 5 and Image 6.

Note: After entering Humanity credentials for the first time, the user is prompted to save credentials to the previously selected 'Autofill Password' provider (In this case: Google).

Step 4:  Tap 'Continue' tab to save information to your google account as shown in Image 7.

Once you have completed step 3 & 4, login credentials will be saved securely in your selected 'Autofill Password' provider.

Step 5: Select your respective 'username' and 'password', tap 'Log in' as shown in Image 8.

Note:  Each time a user attempts to login to the Humanity platform, credentials will be automatically populated in the “Username” and “Password” areas, enabling easier access to the Humanity mobile app. The user only needs to select them and log in.

That's it, autofill will be set up on your device and you will be able to use autofill service to log in to humanity application.
