The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to auto-assign a leave type when a new staff is added to your account.

Things to know before you begin:
You must have manager or admin access privileges to auto-assign a leave type when a new staff is added to your account.
Leave module must be enabled under the ‘Settings’ module to use its related features.
Either a leave type must be generated under the ‘Setting’ module or you can modify the settings under an existing leave type as well.
Auto Enable Leave Types
Step 1: Go to Settings Module using the gear icon at the top-right > Select Leave & Availability tab from the left-hand side > Check the box next to ‘When adding new staff automatically assign this leave type’ under the leave type you are working on, as shown in Image 1.
Note: Once the setting is checked, a yellow banner would appear with the confirmation saying ''Auto-assign rule for new employees changed'', as shown in Image 2.
Step 2: Either click Yes tab to enable this Leave Type for existing staff or click ‘No, only for future staff’ tab, as shown in Image 3.
Once the auto-assign option is enabled, it speeds up the process of assigning leave types to both current and future employees.
