Objective
The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand the difference between shift and schedule templates along with its usage while creating a schedule.
Overview
There are three ways that you can create shifts on your schedule:
Shift templates
Schedule Shifts
Custom shifts

Things to know before you begin:
You must have a manager/admin, supervisor and scheduler access privileges to use shift and schedule templates.
You can navigate the schedule to different dates by clicking the arrows found at top mid of the app.

If you have shifts that you frequently schedule, we recommend using shift templates so you don’t have to set up shift details each time you need to add the shift to your schedule as Humanity auto recognizes your shift pattern and set the shift duration to what you have set the last time when creating a shift.
For example: if you frequently schedule a barista shift from 6:00 am - 11:00 am a shift template for it will be created automatically as shown in Image 1 so you can quickly add it to your schedule.

Using Schedule Templates
Schedule templates allow you to create a daily or weekly schedule that is reusable as shown in Image 2. If your schedules are very similar from day to day or week to week, use a template to save time and avoid creating schedules from scratch.
