Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Scheduler and Employees
After your management publishes an open shift, employee(s) who are eligible to work that shift will be notified via email as well as a dashboard widget under ‘Shifts Available.’
Things to know before you begin:
Open shifts are created by your manager. If created then only you will receive notification to fill it up.
Open Shifts are created for a single position, you can not request for an open shift from another position.
Once you request for an open shift, it’s your management decision to approve or reject it.
You will receive notifications via email/SMS as well as under the Dashboard Notification Panel after your management publishes an open shift.

Note:
Now, it’s your management decision to approve or reject your request if they have disabled auto approve settings.
Once the staff request is approved, they will receive a notification and will be assigned on that shift by filling the slot hence it is your responsibility to work for that shift.
For more information about approving the request made by your staff for an open shift, go to ‘’Approve or Reject’ an Open Shift Request.’
