'Approve or Reject' an Open Shift Request
After publishing open shifts you'll need to approve or reject them, here's how!

The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to approve or reject an open shift request made by your staff.


Access from your: Computer
Applies to:
Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers

After you publish an open shift, employee(s) who are eligible will request to work for that shift. It is the management responsibility and decision to approve or reject their request to fill the open slots.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. You must have a manager/admin, supervisor and scheduler access privileges to approve or reject an open shift request.

  2. You can navigate the schedule to different dates by clicking the arrows found at top mid of the app.

  3. You will receive notifications via email/SMS as well as under Dashboard Notification Panel ‘Shift Requests Waiting’

Approve or Reject an Open Shift Request

After your employee(s) request to work for an open shift:

Step 1: Click ‘Dashboard’ tab from the top panel as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Click on ‘Shift Requests Waiting’ widget under the dashboard notification panel as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Click ‘Approve/Reject’ option under ‘Shift Pickup Requests Needing Approval’ tab as shown in Image 3.

Note: Once the request has been approved, your staff will receive a notification and will be assigned on that shift by filling the slot as shown in the image below hence it is their responsibility to work for that shift.
