Schedule In Position View
View shifts next to positions of your staff.

Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to help you better visualize the schedule by date range and position view.

Overview

Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers, Employees

Position view lists your staff positions to the left with their corresponding shifts on the calendar. The position view can be customized to be seen with a day, week, 2-week and 4-week mode.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. You must have a manager/supervisor/scheduler access privileges in Humanity to have a complete view of filters.

  2. ShiftPlanning tab will open up in "week" mode as it is the default mode.

  3. Position view is only available under ‘Schedule Overview’ filter.

  4. You can navigate the schedule to different dates by clicking the arrows found at top mid of the app.

  5. You can create open shifts under 'Position' view only.

The scenario outlined in this tutorial consists of the following building blocks:

Position View + Day Mode

This combination of position view and day mode shows the shifts in a 24-hour timeline, where you can scroll down to the later times to see if you have any shifts created for a certain time.

Step 1: Click ‘Shiftplanning’ module from the top panel as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Select ‘Schedule Overview’ from the left-hand side of the filter panel as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Select ‘Position View’ from the right hand said as shown in Image 3.

Step 4: Select ‘Day’ mode from the top left as shown in Image 4.

This combination allows you to see the following at a glance:

  1. Name of the employee(s)

  • Note: You will only see your name if your manager has not allowed you to see your coworkers.

  1. Position name and the assigned color code of that position

  2. Shift start/end time

  3. Additional Location

Position View + Week Mode

This combination of position view, shows the shifts in a 24-hour timeline for a week, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks. In this view, you can scroll down to the later times to see if you have any shift created for a certain time on a certain day in a week.

Step 2: Select ‘Schedule Overview’ from the left-hand side of the filter panel as shown in Image 6.

Step 3: Select ‘Position View’ from the right hand said as shown in Image 7.

Step 4: Select ‘Week’ mode from the top left as shown in Image 8.

Position View + 2 Week Mode

Select ‘2 Week’ mode from the top as shown in Image 9.

Position View + 4 Week Mode

Select ‘4 Week’ mode from the top as shown in Image 10.

This combination allows you to see the following at a glance:

  1. Name of the employee(s)

  2. Position name and the assigned color code of that position

  3. Shift start/end time

  4. Additional Location

Notes:

  1. Position view cannot be expanded in the month mode.

  2. Primary Locations positions will be under ‘Default Location’ as shown in Image.

  3. Additional location names are visible shown as a blocked row to segregate the position’s location wise.
