Schedule In Employee View
The employee view shows you shifts next to employee name.

Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to help you better visualize the schedule by date range and employee view.

Overview

Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers, Employees

Employee view shows either your name or staff names to the left with their corresponding shifts on the calendar. The employee view can be customized to be seen with day, week, 2 weeks and 4 weeks mode.

Things to know before you begin:

  1. You must have a manager/supervisor/scheduler access privileges in Humanity to have a complete view of filters.

  2. ShiftPlanning tab will open up in "week" mode as it is the default mode.

  3. You can navigate the schedule to different dates by clicking the arrows found at top mid of the app.

The scenario outlined in this tutorial consists of the following building blocks:

  1. Employee View + Day Mode

  2. Employee View + Week Mode

Employee View + Day Mode

 

This combination of employee view and day mode shows the shifts in a 24 hours timeline, where you can scroll down to the later times to see if you have any shift created for a certain time.

Step 1: Click ‘Shiftplanning’ module from the top panel as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Select either ‘My Schedule’ or ‘Schedule Overview’ from the left-hand side of the filter panel as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Select ‘Employee View’ from the right hand said as shown in Image 3.

Step 4: Select ‘Day’ mode from the top left as shown in Image 4.

This combination allows you to see the following at a glance:

  1. Name of the employee(s)

Note: You will only see your name if your manager has not allowed you to see your coworkers.

  1. Position name and the assigned color code of that position

  2. Shift start/end time

Employee View + Week Mode

This combination of employee view, shows the shifts in a 24 hours timeline for a week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks. In this view, you can scroll down to the later times to see if you have any shift created for a certain time on a certain day in a week.

Step 1: Click ‘Shiftplanning’ module from the top panel as shown in Image 5.

Step 2: Select either ‘My Schedule’ or ‘Schedule Overview’ from the left-hand side of the filter panel as shown in Image 6.

Step 3:
Select ‘Employee View’ from the right hand said as shown in Image 7.

Step 4: Select ‘Week’ mode from the top left as shown in Image 8.

Employee View + 2 Weeks Mode

Select ‘2 Week’ mode from top left as shown in Image 9.

Employee View + 4 Weeks Mode

Select ‘4 Week’ mode from top left as shown in Image 10.

This combination allows you to see the following at a glance:

  1. Name of the employee(s)

  2. Position name and the assigned color code of that position

  3. Shift start/end time

  4. Additional Location

Note: Employee view cannot be expanded in the month mode.
