The objective of this tutorial is to help you understand how to assign an on-call employee(s) to shifts.
Access from your: Computer
Applies to: Managers, Supervisors, Schedulers
(Optional) Adds employees to work on call. As long as the shift status is on-call, neither the shift is shown in any report nor the hours are reported against that shift. Therefore, once a shift is confirmed, open the shift to assign it to the employee.
Things to know before you begin:
- You must have a manager/admin, supervisor and scheduler access privileges to assign on-call employee(s) to a shift.
- You can navigate the schedule to different dates by clicking the arrows found at top mid of the app.
- Employees are notified via email/SMS when they are put on-call.
Assigning OnCall Employee(s) to Shifts
Step 1: Click ‘ShiftPlanning’ tab from the top panel as shown in Image 1.
Step 2: Click ‘Schedule Overview’ from the left-hand side filter panel as shown in Image 2.
Step 3: Create a shift or click on an existing desired shift to open the shift edit window as shown in Image 3.
Step 4: Click the phone icon next to the employee name you want to add to on call as shown in Image 4.
Step 5: Click ‘Save & Close’ as shown in Image 5.
As soon as an employee is needed, manager/supervisor/scheduler has to assign the employee manually and publish it to notify them.
